Everyone Learns, Everyone Grows, Everyone Contributes
Director's Message

Dear Parents, Students and Friends of The Aryan School,
It is a privilege to join The Aryan School as School Director. Every family that sends a child to us places great trust in us, and I do not take it lightly.
At Aryan, we believe that every child is good at something, and that it is not always obvious at the start. Our task is to give each child the chance to find it, and then to help them become really good at it. We should never decide too early what a child can or cannot become.
Examination results matter, and we will always ask for hard work. But we want more for our students. We want them to be curious, to practise and accept feedback, to recover from setbacks and to try again after failure. We want them to be kind, to stand up for someone who needs help, and to understand that success is not only about getting ahead of others, but about helping them along the way. Above all, we want them ready for a world that none of us can yet predict.
Three lessons from my own career will shape how I lead. Hospitality taught me to serve others before myself. Coaching taught me to observe more than I teach, and to look for the first small change that makes the greatest difference, instead of trying to teach everything at once. Corporate governance, at ITC and at The Doon School, taught me the value of accountability, transparency and an ethical code of conduct.
A school can ask its students to keep learning only if its adults do the same. I would like Aryan to be a place where we are willing to try, admit when we are wrong and help one another improve. Our classrooms should welcome questions, not just answers. Our playing fields should teach resilience as well as competition. Our arts and music should help children discover new talents.
I am not here because I believe Aryan needs to become a different school. I am here because I believe that, working together, we can become the very best version of the school we can be. Our motto says it well: Be a Guiding Star. A guiding star does not tell everyone to follow exactly the same path. It helps people find their direction.
Everyone learns. Everyone grows. Everyone contributes. I look forward to building that community with you, and I warmly invite you to visit the school and see it for yourself.
Warm regards,
Mr. Arjun Singh Bartwal
