The 31st of March was the day when the new boarders were feeling fresh and had a smile on their face. It was a day dedicated to the new Aryans.
The programme commenced with a welcome song, sung by the school choir and it continued with the reading of ‘glimpses of the school guidelines’. The school doctor addressed the gathering, and explained the care we take regarding health and hygiene and also reviewed and revised necessary steps for a nutritious diet. The counselor addressed the audience, briefing on how to take care of the emotional aspect of students. The school Principal Mrs. B. Dasgupta in her address welcomed the new children and emphasized on integrated value system. She also emphasized on self esteem, to conduct oneself appropriately in any company and to be able to think ‘out of the box’.
The school organized a lively entertainment programme for the gathering. It included a short play “Where is God?” directed and produced by Shri Uma Shankar and his team, a choreographer from Bollywood; followed by Rajastani Folk Dance and Spanish Dance.
The parents and the boarders immensely enjoyed the programme. In the end, there was a high tea for the parents and the students. Interaction among the staff, parents and children proved beneficial. The orientation is a new beginning for the neo Aryans who have a long journey ahead of them; with lot of experiences and moments they would cherish in their memory for the rest of their lives.
