An excursion to Shimla
The serenity of snow capped mountains, pine trees, exotic flowers and zig zag roads captivated the hearts of many boarders as the school planned a small excursion for the pupils on the hills.
Though the journey was long and exhausting the children enjoyed the ride. They had sumptuous breakfast at Lamba resort. The stay in Shimla was adventurous as the children dwelled in pitched tents. Many activities were conducted at Kawlag. The students carried out a range of adventure activities like Rappelling, Trust Fall, Jumaring, Rope Courses, Tyrolean Traverse, Flying Fox and Burma Bridge. The boarders also got an opportunity to visit Jakhu Temple which is at the height of 108 ft.
The snow at Kufri was breath taking and the breezy walks, bon fire and DJ at nights were exhilarating. The Zoo around Kufri made the children spell bound; they could see Brown bears, dears, black bear wild birds, elephants and monkeys. Shopping at Kumarhatti was extremely pleasurable.
These excursions help the students to develop all round personality and they learn team building, leadership, decision making goal setting and overcoming the fear factor.
