Shakespeare Festival and Inter House Declamation Competition held in The Aryan School.

The Shakespeare Festival and Declamation Competition was held in The Aryan School on 12th August 2016. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Mrs. Nadira Ahmad. A brief presentation on Shakespeare’s life and works were presented by Mrs. Ashima Chandna, Dean of Activities & HOD English.



Shakespeare Festival (4)

All four houses delivered speeches on ‘The Merchant of Venice’ and ‘Much Ado about nothing’. Excerpts and pieces were chosen and all the participants spoke eloquently with clear flawlessly.

Shakespeare Festival (3)
The excerpts chosen for class X were ‘the character sketch of Portia’, the essence of the Mercy speech, and ‘Who is the true protagonist in the Merchant of Venice’ and ‘The role of Launcelot Gobbo’.

Shakespeare Festival (6)
Class XII students spoke interesting pieces from ‘Much Ado about Nothing’. The speeches were ‘Don John as a Villain’, ‘Theme of Eaves dropping’ and ‘the wit and humour provided by Dogberry and Verges’. The participants captivated the audience and displayed dramatic emotions and thoughts.

Shakespeare Festival (1)
There were presentations on war of wits and wit and humour.The presentation of ‘Seven Ages of Man’ was certainly a block buster.
The Chief Guest was completely impressed and she emphasised that the future of very child depends on his/her ability, to unleash their potential.
The principal of the School Mrs. B. Dasgupta congratulated all the participants for their commendable performance.
The best speakers adjudged were Hrashit Saraff from class X, Britney Chenasa Ch. Mark and Aishwarya Pande from class XII.
Mr. Sunny Gupta Vice Chairman and H.R Head Mridula Maa’m were present in the occasion.
